Approaching Parc Taf Bargoed through the drizzel and mist for this mornings WeBS count, two white blobs "shone" through the murk. A pair of Mute Swans. wow, a patch tick. If it hadn't been for the pair on Cyfarthfa Castle lake earlier this year, it would have been a County tick as well. - I wonder if this is the same pair?
While the Swans were new, the drake Teal looks to have moved on and the Water Rail doesn't look to have returned for a third Winter.
